Community Insurance Group brings offices together under a common banner while growing its business in 2008.

Community Insurance Group unified its four offices under one common name in 2008 while it continued to grow its business within an ever widening market area, noted Jeff Sargeant company president.  His report follows.

During the fourth quarter of 2008, Community Insurance Group began consolidating is agency identities into one, companywide name.  What was Sidney Community Insurance, Minster Community Insurance, Botkins Community Insurance and Ft. Loramie Communities Insurance will now be known simply as Community Insurance Group.  Each office will continue to operate within their respective communities, and the corporate office will remain in Sidney.   With its four regional offices, Community Insurance Group is one of the largest independent insurance agencies in West Central Ohio.  Operating territory grew to ten surrounding counties within the year.  

Agri-business insurance increased dramatically within the agency in 2008 and this will continue to be a strong target market for the company in 2009.  Currently, over 400 farms are insured by Community Insurance Group.  From small farms with less than 100 acres, to hog and poultry operations and large family farm corporations, the company is able to provide specialized coverage to fit the application.  Even coverage such as pollution liability, peak season crop and milk contamination insurance is available.
